Using the nasal aspirator is not only easy, but also gentle for your baby. Nevertheless, there are a few points you should keep in mind when using it so that the process does not become unpleasant for your baby.
- Your baby should be in an upright position during suction
- Squeeze the pump body and carefully guide it to the entrance of the nasal cavity
- Gently press the other nostril
- Slowly release the pump body. The negative pressure created in this way gently removes the annoying nasal secretion
In addition to using the nasal aspirator correctly on your baby, cleaning it is also particularly important. It is recommended to clean the nasal aspirator after each use and to sterilize it once a day.
